Error code "6A" on Brother MFC

Error code 6A is a fuser error. It appears on Brother MFC-8440, MFC-8840, MFC-8500, DCP-8020, DCP-8040, DCP-8045D


Solution 1:

1. Turn off the power
2. Unplug the printer power.
3. Wait 5 minutes.
4. Plug the power cord back in.

Solution 2:

• Check the fuser

Solution 3:

• Unplug for 10 seconds
• Press and hold on the menu key while you plug it back in untill you see the screen "parameter init" 
• Press 99.  

Solution 4:

• Turn off printer
• Hold down MENU button and turn on.
• Release the button after 5 seconds.
• f error still occurs, press 9,1
• If error still occurs, press 9,9

Solution 5:

• Replace the fuser
• Fuser for MFC-8440, MFC-8840, DCP-8020, DCP-8040, DCP-8045D: LM2578001
