Message error "no carridge" or "empty cartridge" with Brother printers

You can have this error message on MFC and DCP Brother printers.

This error appears although the cartridge is not empty. The problem comes from the ink level detector of the printer (sensor).


Solution 1:

• Uninstall the cartridge and put back it.

Solution 2:

• Clean the sensor with a wet cotton swab.
• Each sensor face up each cartridge.

Solution 3:

• Put a piece of black tape on  the transparent part of the cartridge: also, the sensor will recognize the cartridge. 
• Be careful: you will not be warned when the cartridge will be really empty !
